Website:  Kevin Trueman gave a demo of the new SWVBA website. Following discussion it was agreed that additional info to be placed on it as follows:-

1. Referees list…..to contain email addresses where possible.
2. Minutes of most recent Committee Meetings.
3. Future Events to be listed.
4. Team Photos and Rosters to be listed.
5. Club contact details to be listed under  Div 1 / Div 2 / U/18 / U/16 / U/14/ U/12/ U/10 (Mini).
6. Previous Winner of all Divisions / Cups to be listed.

The website has almost infinite capacity for growth and any reasonable ideas for future development should be forwarded to the League.

League Update :  There are now some outstanding fixtures, and following discussion it was agreed that the League deadline will be extended to 19/04/09. Any matches played after this date will not count.  A date for the Div1 / Div 2 playoff match has not yet been decided.
Decisions were also reached as follows on the following disputes / claims:-
Div1 SWP vs Barry: This match is to be played. However SWP are liable for any reasonable travel costs incurred by Barry due to SWP failure to confirm officials prior to the match day…..ALL CLUBS TO NOTE THAT THE HOME TEAM SHOULD CONFIRM OFFICIALS 48 HOURS PRIOR TO GAME.
Div2 Cardiff University 2 vs Cougars 2: Result stands but Cardiff Uni have been warned to ensure they have the correct score equipment available in future or face fines….ALL CLUBS TO NOTE THAT THE HOME TEAM MUST PROVIDE REGULATION TABLE EQUIPMENT.
Div2 Abervalley vs Crickhowell: Result stands.

Cup / Plate Update: 

1. Semi Finals must be completed by 31/03/09.*
2. Both Cup and Plate Finals are scheduled for Sunday 12/04/09, times to be confirmed.
3. U/18 and U/16 “Finals” (top 2 teams) are also planned for 12/04/09.
4. Shortened U/14 / U/12 / U/10 (Mini) games also planned for 12/04/09.
5. * Swansea 1 vs Swansea 2 Plate Semi Final to be postponed until Swansea 2 pay the costs of the previously postponed quarter final vs Suns.

Discipline:  There are outstanding disciplinary fines and those involved to be notified that if payment not received by 12/03/09 further suspensions will follow.

Referees:  A written report on the proposed referee assessment procedure was provided by Gavin Williams and this programme is now underway, with some assessments having been done. The assessors primary concern will be the performance of referees, but due to the recent spate of disciplinary problems they are also under instruction to report any incidents of direspecful behaviour by coaches and players towards the officials (including towards table officials).

AOB:  (i) Committee Meetings. As meetings are poorly attended, all current committee members are asked to state their preference for day and time of future meetings.
(ii) All Star Game: DF is to approach Celts re any intention to repeat last years event.
(iii) Womens basketball. Can all clubs please indicate if there is a demand for a Womens competition (Senior and or Junior) for next season. Central Venue events are a possibility if there is demand.
